The snow is actually here! Snowbirds of VT are celebrating. Unfortunately, your vehicle is not. We all know that road salt is rough on cars. It’s corrosive, and the new salt they are using now includes a molasses component to allow it to stick to the roads better. Great! The downfall? It’s pasting itself to your car. But there’s something we can do to save our poor cars. It’s easy. Get that salt off and keep it off.
The DMV suggests thoroughly washing, waxing and sealing your car (including the undercarriage) before the snow comes… Don’t worry if you missed the boat there, we can still clean, wax and seal your car now (and all through the winter which is equally important).
Think about it. Your car keeps you protected. Seat belts, air bags, e-brakes, windshield wipers, high beams, low beams, the list could go on and on. So if you don’t do anything else to protect your car (we really hope you do… oil changes, tire rotations…) Please. Keep your car clean throughout the winter.
